Matthew Burt, a local resident who lives opposite the 19-year-old victim’s family home, saw the incident unfold last night from his living room window. Speaking to The Telegraph, he said: “There was loads of shouting and screaming, so we opened the curtains and saw police officers run over to a boy lying on the ground. They started working on him to keep him alive and didn’t stop for 45 minutes. “There was a lot of blood on the upper torso. His friends were screaming for help. “His mum then came out and she was screaming and crying. She was in absolute bits. That will stay with me for a long time.”Police and London Ambulance Service were called to Wolsey Court, off Westbridge Road in Battersea, at 7.52pm on Tuesday.Scotland Yard said a 19-year-old was found with stab injuries and died at the scene at 8.36pm despite paramedics’ efforts to save his life.
