Anastasiades considering running for reelection

first_imgPRESIDENT Nicos Anastasiades is “considering” running for a second term but has yet to make his mind up, he told the state broadcaster.During the course of a pre-recorded interview aired late on Thursday, Anastasiades was posed the inevitable question via Twitter. The question put by a member of the public was: “Why should I vote for you again if you have failed to solve the Cyprus problem?”Anastasiades initially tried to duck the question, saying generally that all presidents assess their achievements toward the end of their term before deciding on whether to run again for the top office. But pressed by the two CyBC reporters, who remarked that the non-denial meant something, and that it essentially confirmed Anastasiades would vie for a second term but it was only a question of when he would announce his candidacy, the president chuckled, then said:“I have not decided yet. It is something I am considering, but no decision has been made.“I will evaluate, at the end of my term, whether I have fulfilled my programme. Certainly that will be a factor in my decision [to run again],” he offered. You May LikeClassmates.comLook For Any High School Yearbook, It’s FreeClassmates.comUndoFigLeaf Beta AppHow to Become Fully Anonymous Online in Less Than 3 Minutes?
