Investigation led to Smith being issued criminal citations for criminal trespass in the first degree, theft in the fourth degree and criminal mischief in the fifth degree. On February 10, at about 5:15 a.m., SPD contacted a suspicious vehicle at the Kenai Peninsula College. According to the dispatch, Johnathon D. Smith, 30, of Kasilof, had cut a lock and was attempting to steal fuel from vehicles. The second incident occurred on February 16, SPD received a report of the theft of an LED light bar from a vehicle at abusiness on the Sterling Highway. Smith was charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and criminal mischief in the fifth degree. SPD released their dispatch report to KSRM-News on February 23.
